Changing systems requires a strong learning orientation by the system players. Our workforce partners are creating learning opportunities for continuous learning that involve their low income customers/clients in the learning process to ensure that their services are meeting their needs.
Delivery Outreach-Place Based Access
Residents of the Acre neighborhood, despite closeness in geographical location to many of the resources offered in the City of Lowell, are often disconnected from or lack awareness of resources. By providing increased place-based access and meeting residents where they’re at, we can connect more residents to workforce development opportunities, specifically around education, occupational training and family sustaining careers.
As we conduct our system learning and place-based outreach strategies, we will work to better align the workforce development system in Lowell, to produce improved long-term outcomes for low-income residents, many of whom live in the Acre neighborhood.
